Okay, so today we talked about BIOS and the Mother Board. We can change the date and time in the BIOS. When you flash the BIOS you have to make sure that it is in complete order. Never reboot the computer when you update the BIOS.The first thing that she talks about today is how to update your BIOS. One of the biggest problems with BIOS is the fact that it sometimes makes the the hard drive inaccessible. Another issue would be having the wrong date and time on the computer. One should remeber to only update the BIOS when it absolutely needs to updated. The motherboard is actually run with a battery. When this battery is removed or it runs out of power, it resets the computer back to default. Computer performance is rated in million of intructions per seconds or MIPS. There are also many different cooling methods for computers. The most common cooling system is called fins. Another method would be a fan that would go inside the computer itself. Fans can also be on the outside of the computer itself. One of the most important things to remeber with a computer is to have to tower positioned so that it will get enough circulation for the fans. This way the computer won't meltdown and stay cool. To upgrade the BIOS, it is wise to go to the manufactureres website and update it from there. The next subject discussed was memory. Memory on computers is known as RAM or random access memory. Quality RAM is critial to computers. When replacing memory it is important to rember how to install it.
