Static is caused by different things. We are always supposed to unplug the cords. Then drain the power. The power supplies were interesting. She showed the power supply box. It has alot of different wires in it. Then she talked about Installing a Power Supply. We have to turn off the pc, disconnect power etc. Then we looked at different connectors. She spliced a wire and showed us the different colors of wires. She connected the wire to the mother board. Protecting your equipment is vitally important. To start with we looked at battery backups. She used a UPS. We look at how much battery power it had or needs. Different things will happen and then you can troubleshoot. Electricity is deffinitely important. Learning how to protect your equipment is something you should always do! You can tell these steps are important and will help you in the long run.
